A Day of Insight, Recognition & Collaboration
ACEC Louisiana hosted its 2025 Fall Conference on Thursday, November 20, bringing together engineering leaders, policymakers, and professionals from across the state for a full day of dialogue, updates, and celebration.
The program opened with early-morning leadership meetings with our Past Presidents Council and the ACECL State PAC membership. ACECL Board Chair Sherri LeBas welcomed attendees and introduced a refreshed program format that offered concise agency briefings paired with deeper panel-style discussions.
The sessions began with the Transportation Outlook, featuring Julia Fisher-Cormier, Chad Winchester, and Archie Chaisson III, who provided timely updates on transportation priorities and ongoing initiatives. The Federal Outlook followed, with Jordan Baugh of ACEC National and alliantgroup leaders Eric Hylton and Tyler Noesser sharing national policy and federal tax insights that will shape the business of engineering in the year ahead.
During the ACECL Awards Luncheon, we celebrated peers who exemplify leadership and service to the profession. Craig Campbell received the A.E. Wilder Award, honoring his sustained dedication to advancing ACECL’s mission. Kimberly Koehl was named the recipient of the Robby Cangelosi Award, recognizing her outstanding contributions to ACEC Louisiana, the engineering community, and the communities it serves. The luncheon also featured recognition of the 2025 Emerging Leaders.
Afternoon sessions continued with the Facilities Outlook, led by Roger Husser and Matt Baker, and the Water Resources Outlook, featuring Rudy Simoneaux, Monique Edwards, and Ed Knight, each offering critical updates on the programs and projects shaping Louisiana’s coastal and watershed systems.
The conference concluded with an engaging ethics session presented by Trip McCormick of the Galloway Law Firm, followed by a networking cocktail reception that gave members time to connect and reflect on the key issues discussed throughout the day.
This year’s Fall Conference once again underscored the importance of collaboration, informed advocacy, and strong professional networks in supporting Louisiana’s engineering community.
